Daily do....

After you check out Drudge and read the E-mail, you should take a quick minute to hop on over to EBay and do a quick search for: "Ancient" there's always a ton of garbage, but there are some really awesome things to be seen, and if you have a few bucks lying around, buy a bunch of precolumbian crap, and folks will think you be all erudite and shit.

Hehe, she's wearing some fly shades ;>

Calcutta plans ban on rickshaws

We knew this day would come.

Next I suppose they'll be coming for my Sedan Chair?
-They'll have it when they can pry it from the cold dead fingers of my bearers.

Ever lose anything old?

Ever lose an old coin? Maybe an old 5 cent Buffalo Nickle?

What constitutes an "old coin" to you? Does it have to be 50 years old? 100 years?

Well, Old Coins are a hobby of mine, but organization is not one of my virtues.

So I 'lost', an old coin, blah blah blah.

This coin wasn't 50 years old, or even 150 years old, the coin I was looking for was no less than One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty years old.

DAYAM! You just don't be losin' 2,000 year old scrilla and shrug'n it off!

These old Roman and Holyland coins are fairly ubiquitous among collectors, and the idea is that you try to collect the entire lines of the various Caesars, and procurators, this coin was a bronze Prutah, struck in Honor of one of the Procurators of Judea, Antonius Felix.

The coin was struck between 52 and 60 A.D. Felix was a Judge of the Apostle Paul. -Felix held Paul in jail in Caesarea (where the coin was struck) for a couple of years -it is widely held that Felix used this time to consort with the Apostle over matters of his own salvation. History accounts a covetous Felix that convinced Drusilla of Mauretania to LEAVE her husband Azizus! Gasp!

I'm not sure if the Apostle Paul was ever able to get Felix to repent and accept salvation, but after a few minutes of searching, I found my One-Thousand-Nine-Hundred and Fifty Year old Coin and all was right in the world again.

One of these days, "I need to get organi-zised"

No 9/11 tapes

The 9/11 tapes are being released again, I guess it should be obvious why they are releasing them now, -but I don't need to hear 'em. I put my time in for three months after 9/11, feeding on every information source available.

I -had- to feel as if I understood everything as GOOD as it could possibly be understood, talking to friends that were there, replaying the video and audio, watching the news 24/7. that led continued up to and through the ride to Baghdad.

I'm happy to say, I don't -need- to revisit 9/11 in a graphic manner, along those lines. I never even saw a beheading (with the possible exception of some old 1920's French Guillotine public beheading which was filmed from about a mile away)

I never saw any torture, pics, (unless you count panties on the head) -never cruised for gruesome crap like so many do today, -I think I've seen my share of tragedy and calamity in real life, I could never see how a picture or a video of a beheading could be edifying to me in anyway, and I wonder about anyone that even dabbles in that crap.

Understand the full scope of the tragedy that occured on 9/11 but if you're tempted to go watch morbid footage, forget about it.. -Go have a laugh instead.

Your time would be better spent here:
